Hoola Hoop Remember those days of our youth when we all tried to keep the hula hoop fixed to our waist as it whirled round.
Well today, hula hooping is one of the fastest growing fitness aids for all ages and it’s the latest addition to our community calendar!
It’s not just great for the waist-line but it gets your heart pumping and the circulation improving. Hula Hoop exercises are fun. They are the best way to burn calories, build strength, get rid of the belly fat, and also fight mental illnesses like depression.
The most amazing part is that it burns as many calories as you burn by doing kickboxing or aerobics. Depending on your weight, exercise duration, and intensity, you can burn up to 420 calories.
No need to book just pop along and pay £2 for each session, we have hoops you can borrow.
It’s just one of many ways members of the village can get involved. Anyone can start a community group – card nights, playing whist or cribbage, or arrange Film nights.
